Steve Pritchett studied at University College Bretton Hall and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Contemporary Music from the University of Leeds.
He has worked extensively as a musical theatre repertoire coach, vocal coach, musical director, vocal arranger and musical theatre historian at many of the UK's finest theatrical institutions. These include; Arts Ed, the Bird College, the Birmingham Theatre School, the Central School of Speech and Drama, the Conservatoire for Acting Musical Theatre (incorporating the Guildford School of Acting), Italia Conti, the Mounti view Academy of Theatre Arts, the Pineapple Theatre School and the Sylvia Young Theatre School. Orchestral credits: many workshops with many practitioners. These include Helen Hobson (Heathcliffe), Harriet Thorpe (Absolutely Fabulous), Sherrie Hewson (Coronation Street) and Glyn Kerslake (Phantom).
Various orchestral West End projects have included: Disney's Beauty and the Beast at the Dominion, Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, student preparation for a master class with Ruthie Henshall as part of the 'Master-Class Season' at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. A West End Gala starring Marti Webb at Her Majesty's Theatre and Jack and the Beanstalk and Dick Whittington at Derby Playhouse. Steve has also worked in the music archive department at the Cameron Mackintosh offices.
Drama school productions have included Annie Get Your Gun, A Chorus Line, Chicago, Cabaret and Oh! What a Lovely War and whilst in London has coached many West End performers. Steve is Currently a member of the British Voice Association.
